Job description

Eden Brown is proud to be working with a world famous international humanitarian charity on their exciting Head of Institutional Funding vacancy. This is a fixed term contract for 2-3 months and will be a home-based role. Both full-time and part-time (3-4 days per week) hours are on offer with this role.

The Head of Institutional Funding is a significant role within the Partnerships Department leading on the development and implementation of the charity's Institutional fundraising strategy aligned to strategic cause areas across their UK and International work. The role is part of the Fundraising's Senior Leadership team and provides vision, strategic direction and expert knowledge to ensure they maximise funding and influence through institutional partnerships.

The role leads the Institutional Funding team (including dispersed staff) and works with stakeholders across the entire organisation, notably at senior level within Operations & Policy & Advocacy, as well as colleagues across the wider organisation.

We are looking for someone with the following experience:

* Demonstrable experience in developing fundraising strategies for a portfolio of Institutional (statutory) funders and specific programmes of work
* Extensive experience of consistently raising Institutional funds (£500k/£1m+) / developing relationships with Institutional funders such as EC, Central Government Departments, National Lottery Fund, Comic Relief, Foreign Government consistently achieving targets
* Extensive experience of monitoring large complex grants from Institutional donors
* Extensive experience of working effectively with a range of service delivery colleagues to translate plans into funding proposals / facilitate the development of detailed business plans for projects / programmes
