Get involved with Charity of the Year
Each year Eden Brown carefully selects a charity to support. The whole of our UK branch network will get behind a range of different fundraising activities to raise as much money as possible for our charity partner. We like to get involved in other ways too, such as volunteering. Our last partnership with NSPCC opened up the opportunity for a group of our consultants to get involved in employability workshops with a super group of the charities beneficiaries.
We are always open to approaches from charities so please do get in touch if you would like to talk to us about our current Charity of the Year opportunities.
Charity of the Year
Eden Brown Charities has chosen Samaritans as its 2017/18 charity of the year.
Samaritans offers emotional support 24 hours a day to anyone struggling to cope. With more than 20,000 volunteers based in 201 branches across the UK and Ireland, it responds to more than 5.7 million calls for help a year.
Prince Charles, along with other prominent Royals and ambassadors, champions the work that Samaritans does around mental health and wellbeing. The recent growth in media coverage of these issues is a positive step because speaking out before things escalate can save lives.
Samaritans’ campaigns get people talking, listening and looking out for each other. They empower people to open up about their mental health and get the right support, and understand better how to support a friend, colleague or family member who may be struggling.
Life is tough and anyone can feel overwhelmed. Samaritans is working to challenge taboos and encourage conversations about difficult thoughts and feelings, and that is why we chose them.
From local running events to throwing ourselves out of planes, over the next 12 months Eden Brown Charities will be taking part in various fundraising events in support of Samaritans, standing alongside them in everything they do.
